We’ve made choosing your next whisky
a little easier.
Every Ever Curious whisky belongs to one of four flavour profiles: The Rich One, The Quirky One, The Fruity One and The Smoky One. (Best tasted in that order, too.)
They give you an idea of what to expect before you even open the bottle. The names stay, but the whiskies change with each new edition. So there’s always something new to discover.
Take a look at what we’re pouring now.
THE RICH ONE
For whiskies with richness, weight and texture. Full-flavoured, with plenty to get stuck into.
CURRENT POUR - FIRST EDITION
Clynelish · 11 years · Refill Hogsheads · 48% ABV
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Lemon · Orange · Vanilla
Palate: Honey · Pear · Apple
Finish: Citrus · Malt · Sea Salt
WHY THIS ONE?
Clynelish is known for its distinctive waxy mouthfeel, and this one has lots of it, with honeyed sweetness and real weight on the palate. We tasted plenty of casks and chose four for the final whisky, including one that brought a distinctive nuttiness alongside the waxy, honeyed character of the others.
Usually, Clynelish can come with a pretty serious price tag. So we jumped at the chance to make this one a little easier to get your hands on.
Tempted by something richer?
Waxy, honeyed and full of texture.

TASTING NOTES
Nose: Lemon · Orange · Vanilla
Palate: Honey · Pear · Apple
Finish: Citrus · Malt · Sea Salt
No Colouring · No Chill Filtration
The Quirky One
For whiskies that take us somewhere a little less expected. An unusual cask, maturation or flavour - something that makes us stop and take notice.
CURRENT POUR - FIRST EDITION
Glentauchers · 11 years · First-fill Saint-Julien Barriques · 48% ABV
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Raspberry · Cherry · Vanilla
Palate: Strawberry · Toffee · Chocolate
Finish: Red Berries · Oak · Honey
WHY THIS ONE?
11 years in red wine makes for a pretty unusual whisky. Full maturation in red wine can easily overpower a whisky, but this Glentauchers had the rich, robust spirit to stand up to it.
The quality of the casks helped too, keeping the whisky fresh and fruity with plenty of red berry and wine character.
An unusual maturation, and a spirit with enough character to carry it.
Tempted by something unexpected?
Rich, fruity and a little unexpected.
11 years · First-fill Saint-Julien Barriques · 48% ABV · 70cl
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Raspberry · Cherry · Vanilla
Palate: Strawberry · Toffee · Chocolate
Finish: Red Berries · Oak · Honey
No Colouring · No Chill Filtration
The Fruity One
For whiskies where fruit takes the lead. Fresh, juicy, rich or dried - there are plenty of ways to be fruity.
CURRENT POUR - FIRST EDITION
Strathmill · 12 years · Oloroso & Tawny Port · 48% ABV
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Red Berries · Date · Nutmeg
Palate: Fig · Raspberry · Plum
Finish: Raisin · Cocoa · Oak Spice
WHY THIS ONE?
We had a selection of naturally fruity Strathmill that had spent its full 12 years maturing in Oloroso and Tawny Port hogsheads. We tried different combinations to find the balance that brought out the best in the whisky.
Three Oloroso and one Tawny Port hit the mark, bringing together fruit, sweetness and a more savoury nuttiness.
Temped by the fruitier side?
Fruit-forward, rich and gently nutty.
12 years · Oloroso & Tawny Port · 48% ABV · 70cl
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Red Berries · Date · Nutmeg
Palate: Fig · Raspberry · Plum
Finish: Raisin · Cocoa · Oak Spice
No Colouring · No Chill Filtration
For whiskies where smoke takes the lead. Sometimes sweet, sometimes savoury, sometimes salty but always unmistakably smoky.
The Smoky One
CURRENT POUR - FIRST EDITION
Finglassie · 8 years · ex-Islay Barrels · 48% ABV
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Heather · Flint · Banana
Palate: Smoke · Apple · Caramel
Finish: Pepper · Coffee · Liquorice
WHY THIS ONE?
Eight years old, and ready to go. We worked with InchDairnie Distillery to find something that showed off the quality of their peated spirit, and the ex-Islay casks stood out.
They bring richness and sweet vanilla, with savoury, salty peat coming through behind it.
Why wait when the whisky is ready.
Tempted by a little smoke?
Smoky, savoury and a little sweet.
